Height: 38.25 inches
Food: We have hit the age of what I'll call "eating swings." One day he will eat EVERYTHING and ask for more, twice. The next he will eat like one bean all day. Goodness.
Current food faves:
-cookies (sigh)
-cheese
-tea (southern boy)
-yogurt (forever and ever)
 |
| Reed approves of Babes' mashed potatoes |
Sleep: The time change did NOTHING for our late-to-bed boy. Bedtime is still around 9pm every night. On rare occasions he will go to bed at 8:15 if he has refused his nap.
Temperament: He is generally happy, but still 2. Testing the boundaries is his specialty nowadays.
Reed loves:
-Going places
-The iPad: We recently upgraded and now the kids have the old one to themselves. Reed LOVES coloring and making music
-Playgrounds: Reed loves playing outside, and playgrounds are his favorite.
 |
Yeah, he totally climbed up the ladder into that hole. Like, 20 times.
Gave me a heart attack at first, but if you don't let them try, you'll never know what they can do! |
-Veggie Tales
-Movies: Some of our faves:
Wall-E
Cars
-Bugging Melanie
-Books: Our current favorite book:
Any Berenstain Bear book, or as Reed calls them, "Papa Bear Books"
-Puzzles: He got a few for Christmas and cannot get enough of them. So we invested in a few more.
New adventures:
=Opening the baby gate: A very recent adventure. After the initial joy of figuring it out (and several teachable moments) he no longer disappears past the gate into the bedrooms.
=Puzzles
=Shoes and socks: I LOVE that I can now tell Reed to put his socks and shoes on when we are about to go somewhere. The socks don't always get on "properly" but they are on his feet, so we celebrate! He tries to do pants, but they don't turn out so well:
 |
| On backwards and both legs in one pant leg. |
=First "friend" Once Reed met Amy, we started to hear her name ALL the time. They were born days apart and latched onto each other (well, he latched onto her). She's a good sport, though.
=First hockey game! Believe it or not, there are a few hockey teams out here in west Texas. Reed's favorite part was the Zamboni, though.
=Christmas was so great this year because Reed really understand more about it. One of Reed's favorite books was "The Story of Christmas." He loved talking about baby Jesus and pointing the baby out on the pages.
=The zoo was also really fun because Reed was actually looking for the animals and knows a lot of their names. He had a blast!
